Okay yes the “New Left” was a thing, sure. This is “New Leftists,” which is more obviously an allusion to “New Atheists” than an ignorant attempt to ‘coin’ a term that already existed. Nobody in the New Left called themselves New Leftists, so you’re just grasping at straws here for… I honestly don’t know why actually. Except that members of the New Left (no quotation marks, it’s a thing that exists; deal with it) are called New Leftists. OP’s post shows a complete ignorance of the history of the radical left and ironically shows him to be exactly the kind of person he was trying to mock.

Oh my god how can you even try to defend that excruciatingly ironic original post, its not like the New Left was some minor offshoot, its a huge fucking deal and to not even know it exists one has to be completely unaware of the dominant strains of left wing thought since at least the 1960s, which would place one squarely into the category the OP was trying to put down.
